Frequently Asked Questions

Are your classes suitable for all levels of ability?

Yes, my classes are suitable for all abilities, and all are welcome! I offer different alternatives for postures meaning the children can choose what feels best for their body, working from a gentler practice to a more challenging one if they choose to do so.

For face-to-face classes, before your child joins their first class, I will ask for a Health Questionnaire to be completed so that I am aware of anything that may affect your child’s practice. Wherever possible, I will provide options to make their experience of my class as comfortable and safe as I can.  If your child has, or has had, a health condition and you are unsure whether they can undertake yoga classes, please check with your GP before joining as I am not qualified to make that decision.

Will my child need to bring anything with them?

I would encourage all children to have their own adult sized yoga mat that they bring with them for each session. However, I do have a few spares that your child could use in the short term. It would be a good idea to bring a water bottle and your child may want to bring a blanket to cosy up in during relaxation at the end of the class.

What should my child wear?

Your child should wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in.  It is a good idea to wear layers so they can regulate their temperature as they warm up and cool down.  Yoga is generally practiced barefoot, although if your child would like to wear socks for warmth, it is a good idea to purchase some non-slip ones.

What if my child can't make one of their regular classes?

I understand that life can be busy and unpredictable. Things can come up which means it isn't always possible for your child to attend their regular class. If this is the case, please do try and let me know if your child won’t be attending.  Unfortunately, classes paid for, but not attended, will not be refunded.  I regret that no refund, replacement lesson or credit note will be given for non-attendance such as, but not limited to, minor illness, change of mind, a child refusing to join the class, holidays, parties or other commitments. (see Terms and Conditions).
